DCJ, PJ in Cairo for African Chief Justices Conference
Hon. Justice Owiny-Dollo (DCJ) and Hon. Justice Dr Bamwine (PJ)

Cairo. The Honorable the Deputy Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo and the Principal Judge,Hon. Justice Dr. Yorokamu Bamwine, are in Cairo, Egypt, for the second Cairo high-level meeting of the chief justices of the African Constitutional and Supreme Courts. 

The meeting which is running from the 19th - 23rd February 2018 aims to follow up on the implementation of the outcome of the Cairo Declaration on the challenges and opportunities of the Judiciaries in Africa. 

The main topics for discussions are the role of the judiciary in combating corruption and terrorism, modern caseload management strategies and judicial code of conduct, the role of the judiciary in enforcing international environmental law, access to justice and constitutionalism.
